What Causes Itching Around The Navel?

Ive had an irritated belly button , that s been a little itchy, and a waxy discharge, similar to earwax, has been inside of it. I cleaned it with a cuetip and peroxide a few times and that seemed to help for a few days, but now its back. also after I used the peroxide and cuetip, it was bleeding a small amount, and overall very red and irritated inside. I m 68 yrs. old and of thin build, 5-11, 162 lbs. If you have any ideas about this, I d appreciate your thoughts. thanks, Patrick.

Hello,
The things you have tried are good but if they are not working then you should next try an antibiotic cream. If that does not clear it up then see a doctor.
