What Causes Itching At Injection Site After Steroid Injections In Elbows?
I had steroid injections in both elbows a couple of months ago and they started itching at the injection sites shortly afterwards and still do...did not help with pain either. I do not have insurance at the moment and would like to know how to stop the itching.

The itching is not likely due to the steroid itself because it is an immune suppressant but may be related to the needles or some inactive ingredient in the injection.
The use of an oral and topical antihistamine may help with the itching. These would be available over the counter.
