What Causes Itching Feeling In Urethral Meatus After Ejaculation?

I have been getting an itching feeling in my urethral meatus after i ejaculate. It doesnt burn or hurt its just annoing and i want to make sure its not serious. I am sexually active but its not just with sex, it itches when masterbate as well. Its been going on for a week now maybe longer.

Hello,

You are having itching after ejaculation at the urinary meatus. This symptom is commonly seen in urethritis, UTI or in STI (chlamydia / gonorrhea). Since you are sexually active, get STD tests done to detect STI. If tests are positive you will be treated with antibiotics and anti-virals. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a Urologist, get urinalysis (C/S and R/E ), swab sample test, NAAT , etc done.


Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. Urethritis is often treated with a course of erythromycin or levofloxacin & anti inflamatory medications, Aleve (Naproxen). Take care of your hygiene. Avoid sex for a couple of days. Wash your private area with few drops of savlon or dettol in plain water frequently. You can also wash it with warm water ease discomfort. Wear loose fitting cotton clothes.
