What Causes Itching In Lower Abdominal Area?

for the last 5 months i have been experiencing daily occassional itching on the skin in the lower abdominal area off centre left. There is no rash but I feel a lump sometimes when the itch is present which comes on a couple of times at no set time. Prior to this experience I have had a run of thrush and cycstitis over a period of months which I thought may be connected to the peri menopause, I am 48 and have been experiencing menopausal symptoms for the last couple of years having had blood tests to confirm menopause. A recent ultra sound scan and internal scan showed ? adenomyosis, bulky uterus and stated abnormal scan. Bladder, kidneys pancreas all nad. I have seen a gynaecologist about the symptoms and after examination he felt all was well, however, I am still experiencing this itch in this area on a daily basis and would just like to understand what is the cause. I would be very grateful for your opinion.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that your problem might be due to having old yeast infection or having perspiration in lower abdomen might give rise this problem.
At this pre menopause age there might be having low estrogen level might cause dry skin might give itching as well.
Keep local part well shaved and dry and airy.
Avoid more use of soap, duo.
Wear cotton inner wears and avoid synthetic inner wears.
Apply triple action cream locally.
Ok and take care.
