What Causes Itching In The Upper Torso While On A Morphine Pain Pump?
Hi, I had a intrathecal morphine pain pump inplanted in me 2 weeks ago. I am experiencing itching all over my upper torsal and a lot of sweating and head fog, like I m drunk!!! Can this be because I m allergic to intrathecal morhine. I have been on morphine drips numerous times without this reaction (27) surgeries in the past 13 years.

This is common in some people mostly not because of allergy but due to the fact that morphine interacts with sensory nerves and changes sensation , usually this gets better in about four weeks i am wuite positive that this will get better but still u should discuss with your doctor too.
I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it.
Regards.
