What Causes Itching On Face On Withdrawal From Betnovate Cream?

i am using betnovate cream daily since 6 to 7 years . if i stop using that cream i started inching on my face mainly near by lip and chin after few days that area is getting red and flaky and dry and also worried that as i am facing head hair loss problem now. just question arise in my mind may be because that cream uses m facing hair fall problem?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain Betnovate cream contains betamethasone as an active ingredient and it is a steroid in nature..
Long term use of steroid on face can lead to Steroid dependence and when you stop using the cream it can cause withdrawal symptoms and itching,redness and dryness are due to withdrawal side effects..
As far as hair loss problem is concerned it does not seems to be due to betamethasone and you need to consult a Trichologist and get evaluated..
I would suggest you to completely stop using the cream and start doing cool compresses over face..
Wash your face frequently with cool water..
You can also take antihistamines like Allegra or Benadryl for relief from itching and redness..
Apply Aloevera gel for lubrication..
Once the symptoms start improving you can start applying creams containing Kojic acid, glycolic acid and arbutin..
Apply Vitamin E gel at night..
