Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have poison on my neck and arms and the itch is horribly and went to my family doctor and was given predisone but that kept me away all night , took 7.5 of the 9 pills but have no relief also used a cream and took an over the counter med to no relief, what would you suggest I try? Thank you
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy rashes on arms and neck which seems to be due to sun exposure, contact dermatitis and side effects of certain medicine. It could be due to allergic reaction and improper hygiene.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to rashes to reduce redness and inflammation , take over the counter antihistamine like benadryl and avoid food like nuts and seafood. If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with corticosteroid ointment. You should avoid touching or pricking these rashes.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
