What Causes Itching On The Body After Exposure To Heat?
Hi... last year I started having a feeling like I was wrapped in itchy insulation whenever I went outside in the heat. It s unbearable. It s not like you can just push through it... it s like you have to run and cool off in the shower. I am menopausal.... and I have pseudocholinesterase... otherwise I m pretty healthy. I exercise and eat pretty healthy. (50yo F)
Pseudocholinesterase deficiency is not known to cause any itchiness on exposure to heat. Feeling of excessive warmth/hot flushes is likely due to the menopausal syndrome. Symptoms last for 1–2 years after menopause in most women, but may continue for up to 10 years or longer. Low-dose estrogen therapy effectively treats hot flushes for many women.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
