Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had an itchy butt crack for roughly two years now. It s been off and on, but it feels like my buttcrack is sweating and when it gets wet it gets really itchy. Which leads to me scratching, I try not to, but sometimes it gets so bad that I have to scratch. When I do scratch, I end up making the skin rough and raw, which hurts. How do I get rid of the sweating/itching?
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Welcome to Heth care magic. I understand your concern. Yes.. excessive sweating in butt cleft is common cause of itching. The damp &warm skin because of sweating & warmth due to tight fitting & , nonabsorbent undergarments easily gets infected by fungus infection.. which causes severe Itching. *To manage.. avoid sweating by frequent washing followed by drying ..sprikling with antifungal powder ( Neosporine powder/Candid dusting powder) , using loose hojiary undergarments. Apply antufungal ointment over the counter at nights. If norelief in 15 dsys OR it aggravates you should consult a skin specialist for oral medication. Thanks.
