What Causes Itching On The Hands And Feet After Gall Bladder Removal?

I had my gallbladder removed about 11 months ago. Prior to removal (due to gallstones) I had severe itching. After removal the itch went away, until now. Several weeks ago I began to have itchy hands and feet and skin on and off, but it seems to be getting more severe. Could I be experiencing a bile duct blockage and increases bile salts? There is really no other reason for itching I can see.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,

From the available description, there is good possibility that there is stagnation inflow of the bile system in your body.

Since symptoms are similar before gallbladder removal and now there appears a similar cause for the problem. I request you to see a doctor without delay.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashok Kumar, Psychiatrist
