What Causes Itching On The Hands, Legs And Lower Back?

I am experiencing itchy skin . This symptom seems to flare up early morning and when I retire for bed in the evening . It feels like something is biting or crawling on me ,or i seem to have an invisible rash. The itch is mostly on my hands, legs, lower bank and face . When I check my skin there is nothing there . Is this my nerves or a sign of something I need to seek medical attention for .

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You can take antihistamines like pheneramine for itching. As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief.

If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
