What Causes Itching On The Palms After Taking Levofloxacin?

ok so i just came from the dr office and she gave levofloxacin 500mg.within five or ten minutes the palms of my hands started itching real bad and the soles of my feet, and then i started having some pretty hard chest pain.so i terrified and my heartrate shot up and i decided to run to the er which is about ten minutes from my home so i went and sat in front of the er in my car and the pains started easing up so i came back home and the pain is barely still there.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Its possible that you have suffered from an ellergic reaction from levofloxacin which was mild that's why your body combat it itself within few minutes. But you have to be careful next time you take your medicine because more severe reaction can also occur and you will be needing emergency treatment.
