What Causes Itching On The Palms And Soles While Having Typhoid Fever?
Hi sir, I am 42years (female) old.i am suffering with typhoid fever since 1week and I am having inj.cefeperazone and sulbactam1.5gm and I have history of hysterectomy 3months back. From 2days onwards I am getting itching at my palms and soles, what is the cause of it. Please suggest me what I have to do.........?
Hi Based on the history given in your query I am of the opinion that you seem to have developed a mild allergic reaction apparently to the antibiotic Cefoperazone used to treat typhoid fever. It can be relieved by taking an oral antihistamine like Levocetrizine after consulting your treating physician. However, if you develop rash, swelling around the lips and eyes or difficulty in breathing you must consult your doctor immediately. Hope this will help.
