What Causes Itching On The Wrist Resulting In A Huge Bruise?

Hi I had an itch on my wrist, when I scratched it it hurt and when I looked at it I noticed what looked like a raised vein and a large bruise, today a day later it does not appear to hurt but it has formed a large bruise which measures 6 cm in length and 3 cm in width ?

it may b because of decrease platelet count which causes dermal or mucus al bleeding..do one blood complete picture as sample will confirm diagnoses..
