What Causes Itching Sensation All Over The Body?

Had three episodes of syncope from Thurs-Fri, one involved an anaphylactic reaction to Niacin that my PCP told me to take w/ Lipitor. I went down hard. Two epi-pens, medics, ER, no BP, close to 3L of NS, etc. Second time, same thing, except I didn t face plant into the hardwood floor. The others involved atypical chest pain and cardiac rhythm disturbance within an hour of taking the prescribed dose. Stopped taking Lipitor on Friday. No syncope, no chest pain, but I still itch EVERYWHERE. Nothing will stop it; OTC topically applied meds, IM Benadryl, solumedrol. How do I go about stopping that? It will go away eventually isn t what I was looking for, when I decided my PCP was equal to a veterinarian this morning.

HI

You can try stopping the allergy pathway in different ways. The use of medications such as ketotifen and Singulair along with your other medications may help.

These medications work in different ways along the allergy pathway and may help decrease the itching that you are experiencing.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
