Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am having an itchy skin. Noticed it two days ago. My feet, legs and other parts of my body itch like craze. I have tried to think of a possible cause, but I can t seem to place any. Below are what I think: 1: slept at a friends place last weekend for the first time, and he s got a dog and a cat. The dog sleeps on the coauch, and I slept on the coauch too. But these itchy started just on Tuesday. 2. Could it be my duvet sheets and bedsheets?. But I have been using my duvet sheet since and not experience such. Could it be bedbugs or fleas? 3. I have not changed my cream or soap. I have tried one oil body lotion Two days ago on my skin and that was it. 4 I have never had a dry skin. The itch is more severe on my feet area. It happens whenever I lay on my bed and at nights. During the day when I go out, I do not itch. What could be the problem please? Also I intend to bringout my sheets and duvet to sunlight today.
Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction. I suggest using antihistamines daily such as Cetirizine. I also recommend using Calamine lotion for local application.
