What Causes Itching Sensation All Over The Body?

I have been itchy all over for about five months. No sign of bits, my skin is painful and feels itchy. I have moved in the last 6 months. The new place has new everything. My hands hurt. They doc has given me allergy pills, but it has not helped. I have seen a family MD, a dermatology MD and a allergy MD. None of them know what is going on. I have beautiful skin, not dry or red. I don t know what to do. No new soaps or lotions. Just the new place. Help please, I cry now because it itchy is driving me crazy.

Hi,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itching sensation all over the body which is due to body's response to any external stimuli that irritates skin. It could sometimes occurs due to systemic conditions such as diabetes, depression, deficiency of vitamin B2, anemia and severe eczema.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to immediately consult dermatologist or general physician for proper evaluation of the condition and treatment. Doctor may perform skin test and patch test to find extent of infection. Doctor can give adrenaline injection. For now take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl , give cold compresses to affected area several times and apply cream containing steroids. You should maintain hygiene completely.
