What Causes Itching Sensation And Skin Discolouration On Underarms?
Sir/Madam,I am Vinay from Dharwad and I have noticed small red bumps which first started behind knees, in elbow folds, neck collar area and now it is on both sides of my abdomen below ribcage. It has been spread since 12 days from first appearance.I first taught it was due to heat problem and used dermicool powder as well as B-Tex white ointment, which gave relief to my elbow and behind knee skin problem but it still itches some times and I have also itching problem under arms and the skin has turned light brown in colour and have dry skin under the arms.I use cold water for bath and use Dettol cool soap. It gives me relief after bath for about 2-3 hours then again it starts itching now the skin near abdomen have become sensitive to touch.These small red bumps have spread circular in size of about 2 inch x 2 inch circle, which contains small red bumps.Please tell me what to do for treatment.

Small itchy red bumps might be physical urticaria or allergic hives which could occur as a result of physical touch,pressure, heat,cold,anxiety, exertion etc.
Urticaria is a skin condition with raised, red, itchy bumps. It is also known as hives.
Causes are unknown in most cases - although infections,drug sensitivities, antihypertensive drugs, thyroid abnormalities (antithyroid antibodies),iron or Vit B12 deficiency and underlying autoimmune diseases such as diabetes.
So,if you are suffering from this then first thing you don't have to worry.
It may subside by itself or you may take antihistamines like avil 25 mg or cetrizine 10 mg for 2 to 3 days available over the counter and the rashes or itchy bumps will go away.
You can consult dermatologist for further advise if bumps still persists.
