This is basically a skin condition like seborrheic dermatitis caused by excessive action of sweat glands in the hidden non-exposed area. Secondary bacterial or fungal infection causes additional problems. I would advise you the following: - Stop any local applications at the moment. - Get your blood sugars and any other blood tests as a routine. - Consult a Dermatologist so that a proper diagnosis will help you to get a specific treatment. Clear visualization helps proper diagnosis hence stop applying anything locally.
Till you get an appointment with a dermatologist clean the area frequently with tap water, dry it up. Use loose underwear and pants. Whenever possible expose the are to fan air for sweat to get evaporated. Cleaning with water helps with removal of solid arts of sweat that irritates the skin and cause sticky discharge as you have noted.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
