What Causes Itching Sensation In Ears?

Hi sir, My wife getting both ear itching, since 1 years,,, we met some doctors but said that alergical pblms, after having treatmnt but still not recovered even 1 percent. She has no pblm with earing ,,, now her eye also get startd itching,,,, kinly advice solution,,, plse help to whom we shud meet to get a gud treatmnt,,,

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itching sensation in ears since 1 year which could be because of impacted wax, allergic reaction to any particular food, ear canal dermatitis , otitis media, cosmetics, elastic rubber, latex etc, chronic sinusitis and exzematic lesions .I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan and examine with otoscope . Doctor may clear ear or wax with hydrogen peroxide. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics gentamycin for a week along with corticosteroid ear drops and may remove wax . For now you can put 2 drops of olive oil once a day to prevent dryness and cover your ear while bathing .
