What Causes Itching Sensation On The Nose At Night?
Every few months I get an incredibly itchy nose from about 3 am onwards and it then goes away when I get up. It is not accompanied by any other symptoms and goes away as quickly as it arrived. It helps relieve it a little if I put antihistamine cream on it
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itching sensation on nose at night which could be due to reaction to an allergen such as oil, dust and exposure to irritating substances. It could be sinusitis as pressure increases in nasal area while laying down.
I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist once for proper examination. Doctor will examine physically and order skin test and blood test. Doctor may prescribe anti bacterial like clindamycin along with anti inflammatory. you should take nasal saline rinses 2-3 times a day and apply warm compresses to nasal area. Maintain proper cleanliness. Avoid pricking nose with any sharp object.
