What Causes Itching Sensation, Redness And Swollen Labia?

I experience burning, itching and redness and sometimes swollen outer labia. My clitirous also swells and burns and itches sometimes.. It s especially aggravating when I wear undies because the two rub against each other.. I try not to scratch but it is impossible.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What problems you could be having is combined yeast and bacterial infection of external genetilia.
Kindly take the following measures to overcome the symptoms.
1. Wash the area twice daily with warm water and mild antiseptic solution like Savlon to keep your genitals clean and healthy.
2. You need to take antifungal medication like Fluconazole in the form of pessary as a single dose.
3. Along with it, you need to take a course of antibacterial medication like Metronidazole.
4. To control itching, you have to take Tablet. Levocetrizine once a day. Also apply Hydrocortizone cream over the region where there is swelling.
5. Please wear loose fitting undergarments to avoid friction and abstain from sexual activities till the symptoms subside completely.
