What Causes Itchy And Raised Skin Around Anus?

I have skin around my anus that is itchy mostly at night. I have also noticed that it feels raised and almost in a circular pattern. I have the same issue that is on the lower half of my testicles and the skin becomes very dry and flakey. Is this a serious condition and what can I do to clear this up? I have had this for quite some time and I really just want this gone. It is very uncomfortable and embarassing. I have been given meds for jock itch but still no luck

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
After going through your description, it appears that you have two different problems.
Well, itchy and raised skin around anus might be caused due to constipation and fissure in ano. For this you need to take laxatives. For itching to come down, take levocetrizine 10 mg tablet once a day.
Regarding scrotal skin problem, it looks like fungal infection. Keep the area clean and in good hygiene. Apply Clotrimazole cream twice daily.
Your symptoms should gradually subside.
