What Causes Itchy And Soft Spot On The Head After An Injury?

I fainted the other day in a parking garage and I hit my head going down.... Only the left side of the back.... When I came too my head was hurting of pain.... Not a head ache just the knot that had formed so fast.... Anyway the last two days it s jus annoying.... And it feels like a soft spot.... It feels strange to itch it but it itches.... What is this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it will be soft tissue swelling and may resolve at its own but for reassurance CT brain for any extra dural hematoma etc should be ruled out. Also the cause of fainting should not be ignored and should be worked up with a neurologist review.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
