Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I came home from building our cabin last week and developed itchy blisters on one leg near my ankle. it resembles poison ivy but i was not in the woods and wore long pants all weekend. The only chemical I spilled was deisle gas on my pant leg. thank you, Dave
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy blisters on leg which seems to be due to infection of hair follicles leading to folliculitis. It could be due to blockage of skin pores with bacteria and sebum. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to clean that area properly with antimicrobial agent. Apply little pressure on that area with cotton dipped in warm water to ooze out the pus properly. Apply betadine over it. Use of corticosteroid ointment is helpful. Take antibiotics orally to prevent further infection. Use calamine lotion on that to resolve itchiness .Your symptoms will start resolving in 3-5 days. If it keeps on persisting visit dermatologist once to find out any hidden cause for your symptoms.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
