What Causes Itchy Bumps Around The Anus?

Hi there, one day about a month ago I discovered what seemed to be a small bump on my near genital area near my cheek which I found odd, after a couple days I developed more bumps a bit itchy and unconfortable in the area around the anus and cheeks, never near the vagina. This bumps didn t have any specific color or anything that would be different, in fact they weren t very visible unless there was the right type of lighting, I ve been thinking about herpes but they didn t look like the lesions that show on the google image search and they didn t have any liquid or were pop able, never became a sore they just dissapeared. After this happened only two bumps have remained the same, they haven t reduced their size and one is a bit big, it s a bit pink and the skin feels shiny and it can t be poped, the other one is somewhat the same but smaller. I ve had it for about a month or more, I m worried it might be herpes but does it sound like herpes to you? Is it normal for a herpes lession to stay there that long? I ve read herpes lasts maximum 2 weeks and this bump is been there for more than that, plus they never become a sore, I barely notice it, it s not painful unless there s too much friction but I d like to know what it is. I d like to know what could be the posible explanations, I have been exposed to unprotected sex so stds are a posibility. Can herpes present itself in this way? like a bump that won t away? It s cicular pinkish and shiny. I can t go to a doctor because I m a student living abroad and don t have any money, so any help would be very appreciated.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to hemorrhoids. I suggest to use an anti hemorrhoids cream for local application such as Preparation H. I also suggest you use daily probiotics and drink liquids to avoid constipation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
