Hello,

Typically, folliculitis causes red scalp bumps that are tender or itchy. This skin and scalp condition is caused by bacteria or fungus.

When it involves the scalp, it's more common in people who don't wash their hair regularly and those who wear tight hats or constrictive headwear.

Also, Seborrheic dermatitis is a common condition that causes red, itchy, and flaky skin.

Seborrheic dermatitis can appear greasy or scaly and in severe cases can cause raised bumps around the hairline. Scratching the rash can cause injuries to the scalp.

All you need to do is Refrain from touching the pimple as much as possible. Gently wash the area.

Don’t use oily hair or facial products. Try to use noncomedogenic products for face and hair. If you have to, make sure to thoroughly wash your hair and face when the day is over.

You can use anti-acne medication, lotion, or washes, but use them with caution. Be sure to monitor your use for dry skin or other skin reactions.

Refrain from wearing tight or heavy headwear that may irritate your pimple more.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
