What Causes Itchy Bumps In The Pubic Area After Shaving The Pubic Hair?
HI, I recently shaved my pubic area and all seemed fine. The following day I developed some big bumps on my vaginal area like my inner labia all the way back to my anus. They don t seem like blisters or warts. They do itch a lot. What can this be? I can provide a picture.
The possible causes are razor bumps skin condition that occurs as a result of shaving.
Symptoms include clusters of small, red or dark bumps around hair follicles. The surrounding skin is often red and inflamed. Other possibilities like barbers itch or allergy to shaving cream or fungal infection or folliculitis etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Avoid racers if possible use trimmers or waxing. use moisturizer cream locally.
Avoid tight clothing, if symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
