What Causes Itchy Bumps On Hands And Feet Post Intake Of An Antibiotic?

I have been on amoxicillin for 11 days for an ear infection. On day 10 I started with itchy palms that now continues to come and go all day. Palms go red and itch with bumps not spots under the skin. I now also get itchy feet, stomach, side of fingers. My doctor reluctantly changed the antibiotics 3 days ago, bitter taste in mouth as well now from new antibiotic but the itching has not subsided and seems to be agrivated when I was my hands. Please can you advise.

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms you have an allergic reaction to the antibiotics that you are taking and itching and bumps are due to it..
You should immediately stop taking antibiotics and start taking anti-allergic medications like Allegra [fexofenadine] or benadryl [Diphenhydramine] for reducing the allergy symptoms..
You should get an allergic testing done to get investigated for the group of antibiotics that you are allergic to and the safe antibiotics that will not cause you allergic symptoms..
Once it is confirmed then only you should take the safer antibiotics to treat infection..

It is better to consult a specialist physician and get evaluated and get treated accordingly..
