What Causes Itchy Bumps On Hands And Fingers?
Hello Dr, just a quick question here. My hands, around both thumbs and bases of fingers are extremely itchy, to the point of painful and not being able to sleep. I have tried to figure out what is causing this, but nothing is coming to mind. I have not worked with plants or such. I have only done one thing different, and that was breakfast out yesterday morning. I have no known allergies. i can see little clear bumps on my hands where it is itching. I have take a total of 3 (three) Benadryl pills and still no relief. thank you

It seems you have scabies infection. The condition is transferred by skin to skin contact of a infected person/using clothes of an infected person. The description of the lesions exactly matches to scabies infection. Anybody surrounding you suffering from such complaints is diagnostic. Itching would go with through scrubbing of hands & other body parts (especially body folds or webs followed by application of ointment scabindon to the lesion. Be careful not to ingest the ointment. Three days of application relieves the symptoms. The cleaning of clothes & bed sheets by boiling with soda bicarb removes the infecting parasite from your surroundings. In case of no relief must consult a skin specialist for prescription of oral of inject-able medication.
