What Causes Itchy Bumps On The Arms?

Hi. I have been breaking out on my arms with small clustered itchy bumps, whitish in appearance. I have tried many things to clear it up but to no avail. My skin tone is dark so I can t really compare it to any pictures I find when I google. There are some that look close to it, only red. What I want to know is what type problem I might be experiencing? Do I need to consult a doctor or dermatologist? Could it be related to medicines that I take? It s not painful.

Hello,

You need to consult a dermatologist as these can be due to herpes simplex infection, pruritis or contact dermatitis. Other causes can be internal disease, allergy or nerve disorder. Get physically examined & take STD & allergy tests. Get evaluated and treated.

In the meantime stop scratching, avoid addictions if any, take plenty of water, avoid sex for a couple of days. To get rid of itching take non sedating antihitamine(Levocetrizine) once daily.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
