What Causes Itchy Bumps On The Body While Having Ehrlichiosis?

I was diagnosed last July with Ehrlichiosis, I have had itchy bumps at various parts of my body since then which I feel are caused from the illness I had. My Doctor says they are just bug bites. They are driving me crazy and I can find no reason for them. Help!

Hi.
As per your case history you are having papular urticaria.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
