What Causes Itchy Clusters Of Pus Filled Open Sores On Face?
My boyfriend and I just returned from Mexico. He had a small pimple like bump on his face while we were down there and he decided to pop it. Two days after we got home he noticed that the small spot (just below his lip) was getting larger. There are now three open sores on his face all clustered relatively close. They ooze and crust over with a honey colored puss. They break open. We have noticed that they are progressively getting larger. The biggest of the three open sores is also the deepest. Tonight he noticed two small bumps to the left that are identical to how the other three started out. They itch and burn. He has discomfort when eating and talking. We are not sure what it could be. Possibly impetigo?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itchy clusters of pus filled open sores on face . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like infected oil glands , it usually occur in people having oily skin . There can be other reasons also like excessive exposure to sun and hormonal changes along with skin infection . I would suggest ou to clesn the sores with betadine , maintain personal hygiene , take benadryl twice and protect it fron sun exposure . If condition persist then consult dermatologist . Doctor may prescribe clindamycin along with anti inflammatory , anti histamine and steroid drugs .
