Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I too have been within 2 months have had red small dots on forehead and itchy, used acne cream and did not seem to clear up and stopped and used caladryl clear lotion. it appeared to clear not so visibile but now its back. I was also thinking of using cortisone 10 but have not yet just been using caladryl lotion last 2 days. what is causing this?
If it is indeed acne, then clindamycin cream should help, but please understand that using cortisone may help but comes along with numerous other undesired side effects which can cause long term issues for your skin. So only if the diagnosis cannot be established should you consider this.
Your age and sex could be factors, as adolescence does bring along eruption of such dots and should self-resolve, and being of the female sex can result in the menstrual cycle also interfering with the skin health. Speak to a dermatologist.
Best wishes.
