What Causes Itchy Eyes, Dry Throat, Stuffy Nose And Shortness Of Breath?

I left Los Angeles for 26 days and had no problems with breathing. I came back and it is happening all over again. Itchy eyes, dry throat, stuffy nose, shortness of breath, tight throat. it is always bad at around 3am and mid afternoon. I fall asleep as well in the afternoons from this.

Hi,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptom of itchy eyes, dry throat, stuffy nose and shortness of breath which seems to be due to severe upper respiratory tract infection which is leading to pharyngitis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid eating spicy and heavy food. Drink plenty of fluids to rehydrate yourself. You should do warm saline gargles and Betadine gargles alternatively. You should take cough expectorants as well. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist once for proper examination. Doctor may order throat swab test and blood test along with X-ray chest. Doctor may prescribe antibiotic medications along with anti inflammatory Levocetirizine.
