Hello Dear. Penile bumps can be a sign of sexually transmitted disease (STD). There are various STDs that can cause bumps. I will tell you a few most common ones

1. Genital Herpes

The most common STD that produces bumps on the penis or skin in the genital area is herpes type 2. Herpes outbreaks are characterized by a cluster (close grouping) of small, round blister-like spots that occur in the gential region (any skin typically covered by boxer shorts). These outbreaks are usually painful. Characteristically, the spots appear to be filled with a clear fluid, and typically rupture in a few days' time. After rupturing, the spots appear reddish and can have a crusty appearance. They will continue to resolve over the course of several days to weeks, until they are gone. In addition, sometimes the painless, red ulcer caused by syphilis can be mistaken for a bump or sore caused by herpes.

2. Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection

Another STD that can produce small bumps on penis or surrounding area is human papillomavirus (HPV), the virus that causes genital warts. Typically, warts are found in small clusters, are the same color as the surrounding skin, and grow in patches. They are typically not painful. Unlike herpes bumps which come and go, genital warts are persistent.

3. Genital warts

In contrast, genital warts do need treatment. And they are transmitted by sexual contact. They are pink, brown, ivory-coloured or black (depending on your skin shade). The characteristic appearance is of a 'wobbly' projection – a bit like a tiny strand of seaweed.

Treatment

If you're concerned about a spot (or spots) on your penis, please ask a doctor to have a look at it.

You could go to your GP, or else get a confidential opinion from your local genitourinary medicine clinic, often now called a 'sexual health clinic'.

The consultants there are the real experts in disorders of the sex organs. Please don't feel embarrassed about going to see them because they're used to this type of problem. The average genitourinary medicine specialist examines at least a dozen penises every day, so yours is nothing new to him or her.

Kindly take your partner too to genitourinary medicine specialists. If STD is detected then you need to take treatment for that. Also use condoms during sexual intercourse henceforth

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
