What Causes Itchy Insect Bite Like Bumps On The Back?
My mom was over the other day and her upper back was covered in what looked like large mosquito bites, although some had scabs on them. She thought they were bites of some sort. I rubbed cortisone cream on them. I now have three on the base of my neck. Obviously not bites, and obviously contagious. They are raised, one is growing under the skin, and they are slightly itchy. Help please!

If there were blisters, it could be Herpes zoster infection. Alos possible are blister beetle bite. I would advice you to apply Lactocalamine lotion for relief. Can take Tablet Levocetrizine 10mg once in the night if itching occurs. Show to a Dermatologist as soon as possible for a proper diagnosis after clinical examination and necessary tests.
