What Causes Itchy Lump On Toe?

I was stung on my pinky toe by a ca brown scorpion a little over 2 weeks ago. I had sharp pain & swelling that only lasted a short time. Took an anti histamine right away. Went to ER under duress only to be sent home. Now I have an itchy lump or blister forming where the sting sight was. Should I be concerned??? There is nothing on the internet in regards to early signs of necrosis. So I have very little to go on. My husband is very worried and pressuring me to go back to the Dr. To which I do not want to go unless absolutely necessary.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The itchy lump or blister formation has occurred due to local effects of the scorpion sting.
You can continue the anti-histaminic if the itchiness continues.
Locally not ointment or any other type of treatment is required since the itchiness is due to release of histamine.
There is nothing to worry also since the symptoms will soon disappear.

Thanks and take care
