What Causes Itchy Patches On The Back Along With Sensitivity?

Recently I have been getting what appear to be small round burn marks,showing up on my back along my spine. They come quickly stay few days to a week then fade into a very pale purple color. (A better description of the burn mark it would be similar to a cigarette burn) These marks burn, they are hypersensitive, and the surrounding skin itches. I have not had any changes in my being around sunlight more or less or to any detergents. I haven t started any medications... can you help me to figure this out

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy patches on the back along with sensitivity. The symptom you describe in your query indicates towards a condition of known as contact dermatitis, allergic reaction, severe sunburn and it could be due to clogging of skin pores with dust and friction of clothes. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply aloe vera gel,don't pick then and apply broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF15 on affected area while going outside.Also apply cold compresses to affected area and cover the area to prevent the further damage of the skin . Upper back pain can occur due to few reasons like like cervical spondylosis , trapezius muscle trigger point and injury . Consult orthopedic surgeon for upper back pain .
