Hello Lasondra,
In my opinion, I think it is unlikely that a
rash all over your body is from
seborrhea. Seborrhea can cause a red, itchy, scaly rash in areas where there are more oil glands, such as the forehead especially around the hair line, side creases by the nose,
scalp, and other oilier places. Seborrhea can usually be treated with preparations and shampoos that contain zinc or
selenium (and these are best alternated on a monthly basis). I live in the U.S. and here we have preparations such as Head and Shoulders shampoo (contains Zinc) and
Selsun Blue (contains Selenium) and these can be used not only on the scalp but also on the face. Seborrhea is usually an ongoing problem and may require ongoing treatment.
However, if you "broke out in a rash all over", it is very unlikely that that is the cause. Itchy rashes can be cause by an
allergic reaction, a medication, infection, and other causes. Without seeing the rash and taking a full history, I can't say. An antihistamine such as ceterezine (
Zyrtec) might make you more comfortable (if you have no contraindications to taking it). However, I think you need to see a doctor about the new, spreading rash. Best wishes for your health and I hope I helped.
