What Causes Itchy Rash On Chest After Being In The Sun?

Have a rash on my chest after being in the sun. Was wondering how to decipher whether it s a heat rash or sun poisoning. It s definitely itchy and I have had it for 3 days now. It seems to be getting worse instead of better. Was also wondering how to get rid of it. Thank you.

Hi,

You have typical dun allergy/also called as sun poisoning. Mild rash does not need treatment and goes away within a couple of days. If symptoms do not heal within that time or symptoms increase. You need steroid skin ointment locally. In case it does not suffice, consult your doctor / skin specialist for oral steroids and needful dosage.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
