What Causes Itchy Rashes All Over The Body When Diagnosed With Dengue?
i had dengue from 1st july. i had gone for blood test for dengue CBC test on 7th july and found the test to be positive. On the same say I got rashes and itching over my entire body which last till 9th july. Today is 13th july and I am having itching and mild rashes are seen on some portion.
Itching rash can occur in Dengue fever. Dengue fever is a mosquito born viral fever caused by different serotypes of dengue virus. The course of infection is divided into three phases: febrile, critical, and recovery. A rash occurs in the first or second day of symptoms during febrile phase. Rash tends to disappear spontaneously during recovery phase. Don’t worry, it will resolve spontaneously in few days. Advice 1. You can take anti-histaminc such as diphenhydramine or levocetirizine 5 mg once daily if itching is irritating 2. Take proper rest. Do not involve in strenuous activity for few months. 3. Drink 3 – 4 liters of water daily 4. Take vegetables and fruit juice 5. Use mosquito net/insect repellent cream to avoid reinfection 6. You can take capsule Revital one capsule once daily for 1 month to boost immunity 7. Investigation – monitor your platelet count
Thanks!!
