Hello, The skin eruptions at the same site where there were shingles previously are most likely due to the recurrence of the same viral lesion from latent infection from ganglia or appearance of another viral infection as superadded one. As the steroid ointment is not helping a great, you need systemic therapy with antiviral, antihistamine, steroid, prophylactic antifungal and multivitamins to heal the issue faster and smooth way.
