What Causes Itchy Rashes All Over The Body?

I have a terrible rash which I have had for 5 days. It comes up like hives, it can fade after a few hours but then returns in different places all over my body. It really itches. I saw a paramedic at my local doctors surgery and they said it could be pityriasis rosea so they advised to take antihistamine and use hydrocortisone cream which doesn t seem to be working. What could be causing this? Should I have further tests?

Hi,

You might be having some allergic rashes. Allergy can develop due to several reasons- some foods like egg, fish, pollen grains, animal hair, nylon and terylene clothes.

Just try to find out what you are allergic to and avoid it. Try home remedies. Apply coconut oil daily three times a day for one week.

If you are not better consult a dermatologist. It can be fungal infection or eczema.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
