Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Itchy Rashes From The Navel To The Inner Thighs?
Hi, I m 3 weeks postpartum (natural vaginal birth. Only thing given was oxygen) no tear or stitches. I have a bumpy itchy rash that started on my belly now is gone from my belly, but on both my inner thighsa. At times it s hardly noticeable, but others it is incredibly itchy! I assumed PUPPS postpartum rash, but I m unsure. What could it be?
I think it is an allergic reaction to a food or drug you recently used or any substance you use during labor (latex, ultrasound gel, plaster), etc. First of all stop exposure to it. Take antihistamines such Benadryl or Citerizine if not breastfeeding.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
