What Causes Itchy Rashes On Neck,arms And Forehead?
My 11 yr old son has a rash on his neck and arms. It is now spreading to his forehead. At first I just thought it was mild sun burn, but it has gotten worse. It is somewhat bumpy and itches him. When he goes out in the sun it is very bothersome. He has had it for 3 days now. Thanks!

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy rashes on neck,arms and forehead. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like viral Infection, sun exposure, contact dermatitis, chickenpox, impetigo , psoriasis or side effects of certain medicine. It could be due to allergic reaction and improper hygiene. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to rashes to reduce redness and inflammation , take over the counter antihistamine like benadryl and avoid food like nuts and seafood. You should avoid touching or pricking rashes. If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with corticosteroid ointment , antibacterial or anti viral depending upon the diagnosis. You should avoid touching or pricking these rashes.
