What Causes Itchy Rashes On Right Side Of Body And Diarrhea After Having Thyroid Removed?
I am a 62-yr old female. I had my thyroid removed July 28 and my symptoms are:1. I don t have a fever 2. My blood work came back and my INR is 1.1 (I m on Coumadin) and it should be between 2-3 (I m Factor V).3. My synthroid and other thyroid med (for t-1 and t-2 I think) aren t working. 4. My had an itchy rash that broke out on my right side and somewhat subsided; and two days ago my left side broke out with a vengeance.5. Yesterday I felt queasy and didn t eat all day. Late afternoon I developed diarrhea and starting having a few saltines. This morning I still have dierrhea with a queasy stomach. My doctor can t get back to me until about 5pm tonight.Should I waite for the doctor to call me, or go to an ER?

As per my surgical experience, the diarrhea and rash after thyroid surgery indicates possible side effects of drugs prescribed for the post operative recovery in terms of antibiotic and others. My guidance at present:
- Drink more liquids in sessions to maintain hydration
- Avoid itching rashes
- Consume more of yogurt in diet to provide gut flora support
- Avoid all spices, non veg, junk foods, dairy fat
- Prescription of pre and pro biotics with lactobacillus content
- Calamine lotion application over rash parts
