Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Just lately about every third or fourth morning when I wake up I have a new what appears to be a bug bite somewhere on my arms and hands and I ve never been able to find any indication of any kind of bug in my room. These bites really just start out feeling like a rough patch of skin but they itch like crazy. By the next day there a whole group of little tiny bumps about the size of a dime all together and they itch really badly for a couple of days then the skin kind of puffs up a little bit and there is a definite center that looks like a bug bite. and eventually they start going away but it takes a really long time for them to heal. I ve had them only on my upper body, mostly my arms and hands and itching is really bad. I researched bedbugs and I cannot find any evidence whatsoever of any kind of bug anywhere. About the time one begins to go away another one happens. Any ideas?
You have to do some blood examinations to rule out and viral or infectious condition. Also, you should examine your stool for parasites. Are you under any treatment because this might be a cause? Did you notice if this happens when you eat a specific food?
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
