What Causes Itchy Rashes On The Face After Using Momate Cream?

Hello Doctor I was prescribed momate cream by my Dr for my face..i dint know that it contained steriod and I used it for around 2 years ..I really regret about using it .I wanted to stop it now but when I stopped using it I got red rashes with itchiness and irritation on my face within 3-4 days of stoppage.I am very stressed out as I am not able to go out with my face .please suggest me what should I do to regain my normal glowing skin and also my skin turned dull and black after i stopped using the cream.

Hello,

As per your query, you have itchy rashes on the face after using Momate cream. You already took so many medicines for the same and it is not affecting your condition. I would suggest you to take preventive measures first.

You should avoid oily and fried food and make use of product containing Benzoyl Peroxide. You should not use this tablet regularly. Take multivitamin supplements.

Apply Adapalene gel once at night. Also wash your face with mild soap and cold water twice a day, exfoliate your face once a week.

Drink plenty of water daily and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. If condition doesn't start getting better in a month then consult dermatologist. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course and can also go for chemical peel containing Glycolic acid.
