What Causes Itchy Rashes On The Feet And Arms?

I have a really bad flu. It started with a migrane and then chills at work (outside in the cold). I went home from work and to bed and got a fever. Several hours later the fevor broke but had headache, tiredness, started gettin a cough and a severe sore throat. I hav had several more fevers since as it has changed from flu symptions to cold symptoms (stuffy nose, mucas, sore throat, sweating) the new thing that started last night is the sides of my feet started itching like crazy, then a rash appeared on my upper left arm facing my body about 2in in diameter. Then my palms started getting puffy and itchey as well as part of the bottom of my feet. Now the puffeyness and itching has moved a few inches up my arms (inside just above palms) and to my elbows. I have felt like crap for 4 days now and can deal with the flu symptoms (had bad ones like this one n the past) but the itchy swollen parts are what is scaring me (never had this combination of symptoms) I do have a dog the sleeps in the bed with me & a cat that does not come into the bedroom (tic s?)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You should check it your dog has some bugs or not, try changing your mattress on which you sleep for a while. It looks like you have some type of allergic reaction that is spreading. Take antihistamines, cefexime & paracetamol for relieve. Use Listerine or any other mouth wash for gangling. Topical ointment like hydrocortisone or coconut oil when applied locally is helpful. You should get better soon. If not visit an ER & get examined so that you can get treated at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
